My name is Kiran Ratra. I was born and brought up in India and have been living in the Netherlands since 1994. After completing my bachelor’s in economics and master’s in international business I have worked in the external trade and banking industry both in India and the Netherlands. As a young immigrant in the Netherlands, I soon realised that to assimilate and integrate as quickly as possible, learning the language was key. I therefore immersed myself in the language and culture of my new home. I followed intensive Dutch language classes which helped me immensely both in my professional and personal life. I have been fortunate to have lived in India, Dubai, UK and the Netherlands. I am married and have two wonderful children. In the recent past I have enjoyed helping fellow expats in learning Dutch and look forward to meeting you at Tupkertaaltraining.
